Album of photographs on Egypt and Turkey period 1880. Albumen prints from the studio of the brothers George and Constantine Zangaki, who were active mainly in Egypt between 1860 and 1915. They were among the first photographers to market prints for travelers. They were based in Port Said and then in Cairo. Set of 21 photographs (about 27,5 x 21,5 cm) including 16 representing people, 3 views of Cairo, 1 railroad station, 1 oasis or palm grove (c. 1880). Included: 2 photochromies of Chamonix by (P.Z.) Photochrom Zurich (c. 1890-1895). These color views were obtained from a monochrome negative treated according to the color lithography process, requiring several stones (166,8 x 22,5 cm marked in gold letters). 17000 P.Z. Chamonix and the Mont Blanc - 17816- Chamonix. Pont Ste-Marie and the railway viaduct.
