Set of works 1/ - Cervantes Saavedre, Miguel de. - The Ingenious Hidalgo Don Quixote de La Mancha. Paris, J.-J. Dubochet er Cie, 1836.2 volumes large in-8 bound in red half-maroquin with a smooth spine decorated with a beautiful romantic gilded decoration - scattered freckles - [2 ff.], 744 pp; [2 ff.], 758 pp. Illustrated with 2 frotispices, 2 engraved titles and numerous drawings in-t by Tony Johannot. 2/ - Le Sage. - History of Gil Blas de Santillane. Paris, J.-J. Dubochet et Cie, 1838. Large in-8 bound in full cloth of the publisher with the plates decorated with a large gilded iron with architectural composition on which 2 seated characters support the medallion with the portrait of Lesage, in reserve the inscription "here is locked up the soul of the licentiate Pierre Garcias"; spine decorated with gilded irons with in the order, Gil Blas, a bishop accompanied by 2 characters and a character carrying a blunderbuss - Freckles - 829 pp. Illustrated with 1 frontispiece, 1 portrait of Gil Blas, 1 engraved title and numerous drawings in-t by J. Gigoux. 3/ - Maistre, Joseph de. - Les Soirées de Saint-Petersbourg ou entretiens sur le gouvernement temporel de la providence suivie d'un traité sur les sacrifices. Seventh edition. Paris, Lyon, J. Paris, Méquignon-Marvis, 1820. 16 volumes (out of 17) in-12, bound in black half-basane with ornate smooth spines - snagged on the spine of volume 17, missing volumes 16 and 18, the rest complete.
