Small square in-8, bound in full calf with triple framed gilt fillets, ornate spine, title-piece (19th century pastiche binding) - 2 holes on the second plate - [8 ff.], 440 pp., [11 ff.table]. Beautiful allegorical title engraved by J. Briot. First edition of the first French translation of these Odes written in honor of the Olympionic Games (14 odes), Pythionics (12 odes), Nemesonics (11 odes) and Isthmionics (7 odes).
