[Leconte de Bièvre] Rolland, Adrien-Nicolas. - Institutiones philosophicae a Nicolao Adriano Rolland celeberrimo professore in academico Ludovici magni collegio traditae et a Nicolao Valention de Bievre scriptae, anno 1768, Rectore D. D. Hamelin. Paris, 1768. Small in-4° bound in green parchment. - Small scratches on the boards, worn spines. - 5 blank ff.], 218 pp, [1 blank f.], 240 pp, [2 blank ff.], 78 pp. [3 ff. Blank]. Manuscript course book written by Nicolas Valentin Leconte de Bièvre, student at the Collège Louis le Grand, during the school year 1768-1769. This is a three-part philosophy course taught in Latin by Nicolas Adrien Rolland who was first a professor at the Collège de Beauvais (1740-1764) and then a professor at the Collège Louis le Grand from 1764 to 1770. The first part concerning logic was taught from October to December 1768, metaphysics from January 7, 1769 and ethics from May 3. Interesting testimony of the Parisian teaching in one of the best colleges of the capital.
