In-8, brown half-chagrin - Spine rubbed with loss of gilding, pronounced brown spots throughout the book - VIII, 244 pp + 16 pp of commercial prospectus of the house Dondey-Dupré. - Economist, disciple of Jean-Baptiste Say, and publicist, Adolphe Blanqui bought in 1830 the prestigious École Supérieure de Commerce de Paris (founded in 1819), where he was professor of commercial history and political economy. A conservative, in contrast to his brother, the revolutionary socialist Auguste Blanqui (1805-1881), to whom he remained close in spite of everything, he was elected deputy for the Gironde in 1846. Here he recounts two youthful journeys, one of which, to Spain, was cut short by the dreaded Spanish police who sent the young traveler back home earlier than expected.
