[Fouché, Joseph] , Pieces relative to the mission of the citizen Fouché, of Nantes, people's representative, deputy by the national convention to bring back the calm and to make triumph the patriotism in the district of Clamecy. Nevers, from the printing house of J. Lefebvre aîné, 1793. In-4°, ½ marbled calf binding. - Marginal rubbing on the boards. - Long before he became Napoleon I's minister of police, Fouché was sent on a mission to Clamecy where he installed his alter ego Bias Parent who, after his departure, established terror in the district. The documents in this booklet only mention the acclamations given to Fouché by the population in thanks for the wise decisions he made in favor of the good republicans. One joined: A handwritten piece with head engraved with the name of Napoleon and with the arms of the empire concerning military decrees taken by Fouché duke of Otranto, as governor general of the illyrian provinces.
