Alexandre BEIDEMAN (1826-1869) Portrait of a young girl (oval view) Oil on canvas. Bears a mention Beideman on the back of the frame. 56 x 47 cm Alexander BEIDEMAN (1926-1869) trained at the Academy of Fine Arts in St. Petersburg in the studio of Alexander Tarassovitch Markov. A history painter, he also produced numerous works on biblical themes. He was awarded the silver medal for his talents as a portraitist in 1851 and the second gold medal in 1853.
