LEVASSEUR Watercolor drawing on vellum, signed lower right, depicting an episode of the siege of Toulon by Bonaparte, with servants around a gun; it is annotated, below, in the margin: "Napoleon Bonaparte at the siege of Toulon"; presented in a case covered with green morocco, decorated, on the lid, with a gilded imperial eagle; inside sheathed in green velvet; the drawing, covered with a glass, is surrounded by a removable gilded brass frame, chased with laurel leaves; drawing 14.5 x 21.8 cm, case 19 x 26 cm Middle 19th century. Very good condition.
