Marcel DAMBOISE (1903-1992) Head of Pierre Dejean, 1985-1986 Workshop plaster, slightly gum lacquered Not signed 38 x 21 x 23 cm Inv. MD-S-174-00a Provenance: Artist's studio, by descent Pierre Dejean (1919-2010), a painter trained at the Académie de la Grande Chaumière and a timpanist in the Radio Broadcasting Orchestra (ORTF at the time), knew the painter Richard Maguet in Graveson. The sculptor realized the bust of his friend in the middle of the 1980s. A terracotta copy is known, as well as a bronze copy, cast by Émile Godard in 1986 (private collection).
