MASK, Vokeo Island, Papua New Guinea Wood with a glossy black-brown patina. H. 35 cm Representation of a Tangbal spirit, this female mask (the male ones have a longer nose), is carved with eyes in two small slits surrounded by a large wolf in slight relief, mouth and ear in high relief.
