This print was made by the artists' cooperative foundry, which uses the sand casting process. It is located in the same street as Osouf's studio, rue Bezout in the 14th arrondissement. This foundry operated from 1920 to 1938. Therefore, the print can be dated between 1934 and 1938. Two proofs of Jean-Claude, cast by Alexis Rudier, are kept in public collections. The first, with a golden patina, was purchased in 1937 by the State and attributed to the Musée national d'Art moderne. The second, bought in 1955, is presented at the Ny Carlsberg Glyptotek in Copenhagen.
