Robert Wlerick (1882-1944) Rosenbaum Model created in 1942 Bronze with black patina Signed R. Wlerick" on the back Bears the founder's stamp Coubertin and the number 1/8. H. 48 cm with black marble base from Belgium H. 13 cm Provenance : Family of the artist. Rosenbaum attended evening classes given by Robert Wlérick at the Ecole des arts appliqués à l'indus- trie. The sculptor was unable to complete the portrait of his student, who was deported and died in 1942. Rosenbaum is credited with numerous photographs of Wlérick's work.
