Akop Gurdjan (1881-1948) Woman with a lyre Bronze with green patina Signed " Gurdjan ". Bears the founder's stamp " CIRE PERDUE ROBECCHI ". H. 21 cm Originally from Shusha (Azerbaijan), Akop Gurdjan trained at the Académie Julian in Paris before working in Auguste Rodin's studio. He exhibited his works at the salons of the National Association of Fine Arts from 1908. He took on public commissions in Moscow between 1914 and 1921 before returning to Paris. Famous for his portraits, Akop Gurdjan also realized subjects inspired by the antique in the "Art Deco" style.
