Émile Guillemin (1841-1907) Young oriental girl Bust with light brown patina Signed " E. Guillemin " under the left shoulder H. 65 cm, with red marble pedestal H. 13 cm Émile Marie Auguste Guillemin, sculptor and student of David d'Angers, Émile was a student of his father. He exhibited at the Salon des artistes français from 1870 to 1890 and was particularly noted for his series of busts of oriental women in bronze, which were part of the orientalist movement in fashion at the time.
