Reunion of four volumes of the series "Les trois règnes de la nature", to which volume 2 of the Histoire des mammifères is missing, in their sumptuous publisher's polychrome bindings. Paris, L. Curmer. 4 volumes in-4 in polychrome cloth with embossed backs and gilt edges. All the first boards are decorated with the same floral plate with the names of Linné, Tournefort and Jussieu inscribed at the head. The spines bear the name of the author and the date, on a background of geometrical interlacing reproducing the labyrinth of the garden of plants. The name of the publisher is stamped in gilt letters on the spine cloth. Bindings made by Lenègre, the plates and polychrome decorations by Haarhaus. a/ - Le Maout, Emmanuel. - Botany, organography and taxonomy, natural history of plant families and main species according to the classification of M. Adrien de Jussieu, with the indication of their use in arts, sciences and trade (1852). Black cloth, special title on the first plate "Les trois règnes de la nature". The second plate is decorated with a floral motif and the spine titled "Botany" bears a floral decoration - Small piercing at the head of the first jaw and at the tail of the second, head cover cracked, corners pierced, one cup cracked over 2 cm, spine slightly unstained, endpapers soiled, small tear and fold on p. 348, 3 last quires out of order - [1 f.], XXVIII, 387, [1] pp. Complete with 30 colour plates of flowers, 20 black plates and numerous illustrations in the text. b / - Le Maout, Emmanuel. - Histoire naturelle des oiseaux suivant la classification de M. The second plate is decorated with a medallion portrait of Guy de la Brosse, and the spine titled "Muséum" is decorated with a garden landscape and a gazebo - spotted endpapers - [4 ff.], 180, 238, [1] pp. Complete with 15 colour plates (13 flowers and 2 birds) and 26 black plates (5 plans, 3 of which double-page, 16 portraits, 4 views and 1 decorative plate). The second board is decorated with an Arabian hynocephalus hamadryas and the spine titled "Mammals" with a squirrel - 3 corners pierced, scattered foxing, 1 booklet out of order - [2 ff.], XXIV, 418, [2] pp. Complete with 24 plates h-t of animals (18 in colour and 6 in shades) and 8 plates h-t in black of skeletons, 2 of which are for humans.
