S.l., on behalf of the authors, 1928. 1 vol. in-4, bound in full wine morocco, the first plate decorated with filleted borders delimiting an octagonal frame whose spandrels are mosaicked in pink morocco and decorated with foliated irons. Spine with 4 nerves, head and tail boxes mosaicked with a triangle of pink morocco hot-stamped with a foliate iron, interior fillet decorated with decorative motifs, pink moire endpapers, shaped and lined slipcase (Flammarion) - 284, [1] pp. Illustrated with 35 engravings (in-t) in drypoint by Almery Lobel-Riche Deluxe edition limited to 260 copies, this one of 150 on Arches vellum including a black suite with remarks and the finished state in the text (n° 236). - Paul Reboux is the author with his friend Charles Muller of a series of literary pastiches À la manière de... which still make his reputation. His "Spanish" novel, La Maison de Danses, published in 1904, was adapted for the theatre in 1908 and then for the cinema in 1930 in a drama by Maurice Tourneur with Gaby Morlaix and Charles Vanel.
