Noailles, Countess of - Laboureur, J.-E. - The Shadow of Days. Preceded by the speech of Madame Colette at the Royal Academy of Belgium in honour of the Countess Anna de Noailles. Paris, Société du Livre d'Art, 1938. Large in-4 bound in full red chagrin, double gilt fillet on the boards with small corner fleurons, spine ribbed and decorated, author, title and head gilt, fine inner gilt roulette, covers and spine preserved, shaped, lined and edged slipcase. Minor foxing on the endpapers and the first 5 leaves, rare in the interior of the book - [18 ff.], 166 pp, [2 ff.] Illustrated with 35 engravings in-t by Laboureur, typography in red and black. Edition of 110 numbered copies on BFK de Rives (n° 65 for the Count of Narbonne-Lara). Carteret in Le Trésor du Bibliophile (IV, 305) considered this work as "one of the most beautiful publications of the artist".
