Auguste SEYSSE (1862-1946) Portrait of a woman with a fan Bronze with light brown patina. Signed A.SEYSSE and dated 1905. Dedicated (...) / EN BON SOUVENIR DE BIARRITZ. Bears the stamp of the founder CIRE PERDUE A.A. HEBRARD. H. 49 cm A student of Alexandre Falguière at the École des Beaux-Arts in Paris, Auguste Seysse made his debut at the Salon des Artistes français in 1891. He was responsible for part of the decoration of the façade of the Grand Palais in Paris. He worked with Alphonse Mucha who, not being a sculptor, asked him to model Woman with a Lily.
