Jean Marie Joseph MAGROU (1869-1945) Christ the King Bronze with golden patina. Signed PEDA ET JEAN MAGROU. Bearing the stamp of the founder Leblanc-Barbedienne Paris Cire Perdue and the stamp BRONZE on the terrace. Jean Marie Joseph Magrou was a student at the École des Beaux-Arts in Paris, where he was taught by Jules Thomas and Jean-Antoine Injalbert. He was responsible for several monuments in his native town of Béziers.
