BURNER-PARFUM (xi?ng lú??) tripod in partially gilded bronze, the belly decorated with deer among rocks and clouds; the neck decorated with a frieze of Greek, the two handles in the shape of dragons qilong; the wooden lid with openwork decoration of peaches of longevity and lotus buttons (small lacks, restorations). Gilding wears. A mark under the base.
China, in the taste of HU Wenming.

This perfume burner is a family tradition and was acquired by the great-grandfather of the current owner. Edmond Van Eetvelden was a Belgian politician and businessman, active in China between 1872 and 1878.
