RITUAL VASE of kouang type in bronze and jade. The body is made of bronze with a dark patina, decorated near the neck and at the base with a frieze of archaic dragons with golden threads on a leiwen background; the handle is in the shape of a stylized dragon, decorated with golden spiral motifs. The lid is made of celadon-coloured jade-nephrite, carved and chiselled with a mask of a glutton decorated with truncated horns, in the shape of a club or a "bottle"; the grip of the lid carved with two archaic dragons, head to tail, surmounting clouds; veins and cracks inside the stone. China, Qing dynasty, 19th century, in the taste of the Shang dynasty. H. 14.2 W. 6.2 L. 15.5 cm
