Attributed to Samson Wertheimer (1811-1892) Desk set in copper, adorned with veined agate cabochons, composed of a pencil case, an inkwell and a document holder. Samson Wertheimer, an art dealer in England at the end of the 19th century, he made bronze and hard stone objects (especially cut in cabochons) presented at the Universal Exhibition in London (1851 and 1862). He presents himself as a creator inspired by his trade in antiques, recognized, he supplied the court of Queen Victoria.
