S-107-00 These two bas-reliefs are in the stylistic continuity of those created shortly before by Marcel Damboise for the educational centre of Sidi Madani, a town south-west of Algiers. They evoke the reliefs of Jean Goujon as well as those of the Hindu temples. At the same time, Damboise responded to two other orders for bas-reliefs and executed : - the relief Les Loisirs, now destroyed, for the educational centre of El-Riath in Birmandreis. - the reliefs After the Bathing and the Study for the university city of Ben-Aknoun.
