VARZY, late 18th century REVOLUTIONARY PLATE with contoured edges with polychrome decoration in the centre of a drum with its sticks, a barrel, two axes and a spade surmounted by a Phrygian cap. Blue hemmed braid and manganese net on the edge. Carries two labels from the PM Sestié collection and the Gossec conservatory exhibition March 1989 on the reverse. Grain and crack.
